Privacy policy
How 搵獸醫 handles personal data, under Hong Kong's Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486).
What we collect
When you submit the match-request form we collect the phone number you provide, the species and service you select, your language preference, and the page you submitted from together with any referrer or campaign parameters present in the address. We do not ask for your name, address or payment details.
Why we collect it
To contact you about your request and, when clinic matching launches, to connect you with a veterinary clinic. We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not build profiles of you.
Sharing
We do not sell your data. We share it only as needed to fulfil your request — for example, with the clinic that will contact you — and with the service providers we use to operate the site (email, messaging and database providers), who process it on our behalf.
Retention and deletion
We keep request data only for as long as it is needed for the purpose above. You may ask us to correct or delete your data at any time by emailing hello@vetnearby.com.hk.
Cookies and local storage
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and there is no third-party analytics on this site. We use your browser's session storage for one thing only: remembering that you have already seen the first-visit welcome note, so it does not reappear during the same session. That value is cleared when you close the tab. We also store your language choice (English or 繁體) in local storage so the site can show pages in your preferred language; it stays on your device until you clear it and is never sent to us.
